Admission to UG degree programmes under NRI quota for the academic  year 2014-15

Applications are invited for admission to the following professional and Technical undergraduate degree programmes in the University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur under NRI quota for the academic year 2014-15.

I. Eligibility Criteria:

Academic Eligibility: Applicant should have passed two years pre-University course or 10+2

level or 12 years schooling or its equivalent examination with 50 percent marks or above in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) subjects or in any other equivalent optional Science subject (50% marks in any

other optional Science subject)

Academic Eligibility:

Applicant should have passed two years pre-University course or 10+2 level or 12 years schooling or its

equivalent examination with 50 percent marks or above in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) subjects or in any other equivalent optional Science subject (50% marks in any other optional Science subject)

II. Reservation of Seats:

1. 15% seats reserved over and above the intake of given degree Programme to NRIs / Children or NRIs/ candidate sponsored by NRI.

2. Definition of NRI candidate / NRI sponsored candidate shall be as given by Govt. of India / Karnataka Education Authority.

 3. Candidate should have studied in English medium at higher secondary or at 11 and 12 standard level.

III. Application and fee:

1. Application shall be obtained from university website i.e., www.uasraichur.edu.in only and submitted by post along with the educational documents including medical certificate and DD on or before 10-7-2014 to The Registrar, University of Agricultural Sciences, Post Box No. 329, Raichur – 584 104.

2. The application fee is Rs. 1000/- (Thousand Only) payable in the form of Demand Draft only drawn in favour of the Comptroller, UAS, Raichur purchased on or after the date of this notification, payable at Raichur.

IV. Degree Programme fee:

1. NRI / Children of NRI / candidate sponsored by NRI shall pay US $ 6000.00 per year (Six Thousand US dollars only) or equivalent in Indian Rupees (6000/- US Dollar) as Institutional Economic fee per annum and along with regular semester fee prescribed by the University from time to time.

2. Candidate shall pay group Health Insurance premium every year as prescribed from time to time.

V. Undertaking:

1. The sponsored candidate is required to give an undertaking to the effect that, he or she would pay the fee regularly to the University. In the event of Non-payment of fee, the student shall be terminated from the studies.

2. In addition the sponsorer shall also give an undertaking that, he / she has sponsored the candidate and will pay fee regularly till the candidate completes the course.

3. Undertaking given by the sponsorer and the candidate on stamp paper signed by Notary should accompany the application.

VI. Documents to be produced by the candidate at the time of joining the  degree programmes:

a) All original transcripts about the Examinations passed. (SSLC / PUC (10+2) (Intermediate) / Date of Birth certificate / T.C. / Proof of NRI status & others).

b) Medical Fitness certificate from Govt. Hospitals.

c) An undertaking to be given by the sponsorer that the sponsorer will pay fee in dollars / rupees regularly till the candidate completes the degree programme and in the event of non-payment of fee, his / her admission may be cancelled.

d) An undertaking to be given by the candidate to the effect that, he / she would pay the fee regularly to the University and in the event of non-payment of fee his / her admission may be cancelled.

VII. Fee to be paid by the candidate at the time of joining the degree  programme:

a) Rs. 17,000/- as I-Semester Admission fee, By Bank Draft / DD should be drawn in favour of Comptroller, UAS, Raichur payable at Raichur.

b) An Institutional Economics fee of US $ 6000.00 or equivalent in Indian Rupees (Rs. 60 per Dollar) per annum to be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of Comptroller, UAS, Raichur payable at Raichur.

c) The sponsorer / NRI should pay the each semester fees and US $ 6000.00 or equivalent Indian Rupees Rs. 60 per Dollar) each year regularly or till the candidate completes the course.

VIII. Fees to be paid by the candidate for seeking admission to hostel at UAS,  Raichur (Subject to availability of the hostel rooms):

IX. Hostel Facility:

 Hostel facilities will be provided subject to the availability in the UAS campus.

The candidate desired to stay in the campus must occupy the rooms allotted to him / her by the Chief Warden as is where is condition. No demand for alteration is entertained to meet his / her own personal requirement.

X. General Instructions:  

1. On receipt of selection letter, the candidate needs to confirm his / her willingness to join the programme in writing for which he / she has been provisionally selected for admission. No change of subject is entertained subsequently.

2. The University will not own the responsibility of candidates involvement in any unlawful activities during the period of his / her study and candidate himself / herself is solely responsible to appear for any enquiry by the police.

3. The confirmation of the admission is subject to the verification and confirmation of all original transcripts / certificates of prescribed fees and fulfilment of all other admission requirements by the concerned authority.

4. Payment should be made in US $ or in equivalent Indian Rupees.

XI. Date and Counselling:

Candidates who have applied for seat should appear personaly along with all original marks cards without fail for counselling and seat allotment. In absentia, seats will not be allotted. Date of counselling is on 19-07-2014 at 11.00 AM in UAS Auditorium, Raichur. No separate information will be sent to the candidate.

 First semester start on 4-08-2014.

XI. The admission is governed by Govt. orders / UAS, Raichur regulations  issued from time to time.
