ADMISSION TO 3‐YR B.A.(HONS) COURSE (2014‐17)

Eligibility
: Applications are invited for
admission to 3‐yr B.A.(Hons) course in
Russian from candidates who have passed H.S. (10+2) examination in any stream or its equivalent not before 2011 with an aggregate of 50% marks (40% for SC & ST) considering top four marks (excluding that of Environmental
Science, studied as an elective subject
of 100 marks). Candidates from WBBHSE/CBSE/ISC are eligible to apply.
Subject combinations and classes: The Honours classes will be held at the University College street campus and the elective subjects (Sc,Arts, etc.) will be taught at C.U. affiliated colleges. The Honours course starts from beginer’s level of Russian. A candidate is required to choose two elective subjects from among Group II to Group VIII by taking not more than one subject from any of the groups of subjects. Details of the subject groups are available at the office of the dept.
Application form and submission : Application forms are available on all working days at C.U. sales counter
on payment of Rs.100/‐ .Applications along
with attested copies of Mark Sheet
and Photograph of the candidate are to be submitted (from 2p.m. to 6p.m.) at the office of the Dept. of
languages on or before 24.06.14
Selecton: Number of available seats in the course is 20. Reservation rules for SC/ST etc. apply. A selection list will be published on 26.06.14 and displayed on dept. notice board. The admission will commence on 30.06.14 and may continue till 09.08.14 subject to availability of seats. No candidate will be individually intimated in this regard.
Submission of fees: The selected candidates will deposit at Cash counter Rs.1008.00 which includes six months’ tuition fees,admission & session
charges etc. The students will
be required to pay laboratory fee (for science subjects), library and tuition fees as applicable in the college.
Commencement of Classes: The classes for the course will commence on and from 30.07.14. Class schedule will be announced in due course.
