SRF Programme 2015

Applications are invited by Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore from interested students and teachers from all universities and colleges affiliated to UGC / AICTE / MCI / Accredited Institutions of State Universities for Science Academies' Summer Research Fellowship Programme for Students and Teachers during year 2015

Eligibility criteria
Applicants should be studying in one of the following:
BS / BSc / BVSc (II and III years only)
BE / BTech / BCA (II and III years only)
MS / MSc / MVSc (I year only)
ME / MTech / MCA (I year only)
(5-year integrated) MS / MSc /MTech / MBBS (II, III, IV years only)
(Dual degree) BTech + MTech (II/III/IV years only)
(Dual degree) BE + MSc (II, III, IV years only)
(Dual degree) BS + MS (II, III, IV years only)
Integrated PhD (I, II years only)
The minimum percentage of average marks in core subjects only (i.e. excluding languages) from X std. up to post-graduation (whichever years completed) should be 65% or above.

Applications should be submitted Online through any of the websites http://www.ias.ac.in , http://www.insaindia.org  or http://www.nasi.org.in ; however a hard copy of the application submitted online together with enclosures must be sent by speed post or courier to The Coordinator, Science Education Programmes, Indian Academy of Sciences, CV Raman Avenue, Near Mekhri Circle, Sadashivanagar, Bangalore 560 080.

The application should include:
(a) a brief resume of the applicant (in the prescribed format);
(b) a write-up (in about 250 words) as to what the applicant wants to learn and achieve; 
(c) the guide with whom the applicant would like to work and
(d) all other information sought in the online application.
Student applicants should include a recommendation letter (in the prescribed format) from one of the teachers of their present institution familiar with their work, in a sealed envelope. The selected candidate may work with the assigned guide for two months any time during the calendar year, preferably during the summer.

The last date for receipt of applications is 30 November 2014 (online) and 7 December 2014 (print version).
