Master in Physiotherapy/Nursing Admission Notice 2014
Applications are invited by Nizam's Institute of
Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad from eligible candidates of Andhra Pradesh
for admission into following courses for 2014.
1. Master of Physiotherapy
2. Master of Science (Nursing)
Entry Qualifications:
Master in Nursing:
Candidate passing of BSc Nursing / BSc Hons.
Nursing / Post Basic BSc Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks and should
have undergone in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council
AND Minimum one year work experience in Govt. / Private hospital
Age:
The candidates who have not completed 45 years as
on 31.12.2014 are eligible to apply. The upper age limit is relaxable by 3
years in case of SC & ST candidates.
Master of Physiotherapy:
Prior Qualification required
a) Candidate holding a Bachelor degree in
Physiotherapy from a recognized University and completed / shall be completing
6 months internship by 30‐09‐2014 in
India or a Foreign University with at least 10+2+4 years of educational pattern
and a minimum of 6 months internship.
b) However, since 4 years course and 6 months
Internship did not exist before 1998, candidates who have qualified and
completed the internship before 31st December 1998 shall be eligible for this
course if they have at least 10+2+3 years of educational pattern and 6 months
of internship. Deadline for completion of internship is 30th September, 2014.
c) The candidates who have already registered for
any degree or studying regular course and applying for admission to another
course in NIMS, shall resign such training course in the Institute duly
fulfilling the conditions of the bond and failure to do so, their applications
for admission to the other course will be rejected.
Age:
The minimum age for admission shall be 22 years
completed as on 31‐12‐2014 and should not be more than 35 years as on
31‐12‐2014. Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years in the case of SC and ST
candidates. For in‐service (NIMS) candidates, the age limit is not applicable.

Application form needs to be downloaded and
submitted with the following:
a) A printout of the application form duly filled
in with recent passport size photograph
b) Original demand draft in favour of Director,
NIMS or NIMS cash receipt
c) Supporting documents as detailed in Prospectus
Applications are to reach, in person or by post,
the Associate Dean, Aptitude Testing, 2nd floor, Old OPD Block, NIMS,
Punjagutta, Hyderabad 500 082, AP., before 5.00 pm of 30-09-2014.
A demand draft for Rs.1,100/‐ (Rupees one thousand
and one hundred only) drawn in favour of the Director, Nizam’s Institute of
Medical Sciences or NIMS Cash Receipt dated between 16/09/2014 to 30/09/2014
will have to be submitted simultaneously along with the filled‐in application.
