PhD in Women’s Studies Admission Notice 2015
Applications are invited for admission to an
interdisciplinary PhD Programme in Women’s Studies, Women’s Studies Research
Centre, University of Calcutta, 1, Reformatory Street, Kolkata-700027.
Candidates having Master’s Degree with
specialization in the parent discipline should apply in the prescribed form
downloaded from Website www.caluniv.ac.in
along with an application fee of Rs.
100/- (by cash) through a challan obtainable from the Cash Counter, Alipur Campus.
The filled up forms along with the requisite fee by C.U. Challan are to be
submitted between 12.00 and 2.30 pm on all working days at the office of the
Centre (4th Floor), Alipur Campus.
The last date of submission of application form is 17/10/2014,
12.00 noon.
The eligible candidates will have to appear in a
written examination of two hours duration to be held in this Centre on
31/10/2014 at 2.00 p.m. The list of successful candidates will be displayed in
the Notice Board of the Centre on 10/11/2014 at 3.00 pm. They will have to
appear in an interview on 28/11/2014 with a Statement of Purpose / Research
(500 Words). The final selection will be on the basis of the interview. The
list of finally selected candidates will be displayed in the notice board on
05/12/2014 at 3.00 p.m.
Those candidates who have already passed MPhil /
UGC / CSIR (JRF) Examinations / NET / SET / SLET / Teacher Fellowship or
equivalent examinations need not appear at the written examination and can
directly apply to appear at the interview
