IndianOil Sports Scholarships 2015
Indian Oil Corporation has initiated 'IndianOil
Sports Scholarships' to promising young players with a view to encourage talent
and create a pool of sports persons from whom to select sport appointees to the
Corporation.
The scholarship will be given in two categories
i.e., Elite Scholar and Scholar to budding youngsters in sports arena for the
following games:
1. Cricket Team game
2. Hockey Team game
3. Basketball Team game
4. Volleyball Team game
5. Football Team game
6. Kabaddi Team game
7. Tennis Individual game
8. Billiards
& Snooker Individual game
9. Golf Individual game
10. Carrom Individual game
11. Badminton Individual game
12. Chess Individual game
13. Archery Individual game
14. Boxing Individual game
15. Gymnastics Individual game
16. Shooting Individual game
17. Swimming Individual game
18. Wrestling Individual game
19. Table
Tennis Individual game
20. Athletics Individual game
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
(a) Age: 14-19 YearsThe applicant should be above
the age of 14 yrs. & below the age of 19 yrs as on 15th June, 2015.
(b) Performance:
Team Game (Sr. No. 1 to 6 above)
Elite Scholar : Representing country at junior or
senior level
Scholar : Representing state team at junior
or senior level
Individual Game (Sr. No.7 to 20 above)
Elite Scholar : National ranking between 1-5 in
juniors or sub juniors or semi finalist/finalist in national championship
Scholar : National ranking between 6-15 in
juniors or sub juniors or semi finalist/finalist in national championship
DURATION OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
The duration shall be for a period of 3 years.
After the completion of the 1st year of the sports scholarship, the performance
of the player shall be reviewed. Based on this performance, the sports
scholarship will be renewed for the 2nd year. The renewal for the 3rd year will
be based on the performance in the 2nd year of sports scholarship.
Monthly stipend payable:
Scholar :
Stipend in Rs.
: (1st Year) 9,000/-
Stipend in Rs.
: (2nd Year) 10,000/-
Stipend in Rs.
: (3rd Year) 11,000/-
Elite Scholar:
Stipend in Rs.
: (1st Year) 12,000/-
Stipend in Rs.
: (2nd Year) 13,000/-
Stipend in Rs.
: (3rd Year) 14,000/-
APPLICATIONS:
The sportsperson should submit the application
necessarily in the formats given on the website link: https://www.iocl.com/download/IOCL_Scholarship_Format1.pdf
with all columns duly filled alongwith
passport size photograph.
The duly completed and signed applications should reach,
either by post or mail, at following address on or before 15th June, 2015:
