M.Tech / M.Pharma Admission Notice 2015
The Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun was
established on 27th January 2005 by Govt. of Uttarakhand through the
Uttarakhand Technical University Act 2005. The University is affiliating
various private and Govt. institutions along with its own campus departments
for M. Tech and M. Pharma courses. There are 5 Constituent and 118 affiliated
colleges with 50,000 students in various courses. The University is serving the
technical education through its progress monitored each semester, part time
Ph.D programme especially designed for the teachers and scientists by giving them
opportunity to explore the untouched area of the research.
The University in its own campus running M.Tech and
M. Pharma Programme in various disciplines. Apart from this University is
having 4 Constituent Colleges namely Seemant Institute of Technology,
Pithoragarh, THDC-IHET New Tehri, Women Institute of Technology, Dehradun and
Institute of Technology, Gopeshwar, spreading Technical Education in the remote
underprivileged area of Uttarakhand hills.
The Uttarakhand Technical University campus is
situated at NH-72 Suddhowala, Dehradun. Dehradun is the State capital of
Uttarakhand well connected through Rail, Road and Air transport.
1. ADMISSION
Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun will
permit admission to M.Tech/M.Pharm.

Programmes of two years duration in the University campus. University will award M.Tech/M. Pharm degree.

Reservation will be applicable as per
Government of Uttrakhand latest notification.

Eligibility Criteria for UTU Dehradun
M.Tech/M.Pharm Programs:
The applicant admitted in M.Tech/M.Pharma programme
must have at least (for General/OBC candidates) 60% marks in B.Tech/B.Pharma or
equivalent; (for SC/ST candidates) 55% marks in B.Tech/B.Pharma or equivalent
Pass the university entrance examination
Candidates having 60% marks and valid qualified
GATE/GPAT score for (General/OBC) or 55% of marks and valid qualified GATE/GPAT
score (SC/ST candidates) will be given preference in admission
Candidates having valid and qualified GATE score
are not require appearing in University entrance exam
Such candidates do not require to appears in
university entrance examinations
Reservation shall be applicable as per State Govt
norms
Candidate who is having valid GATE/GPAT score and
do not apply in response to this advertisement; will not be allowed to appear
in the counseling
Selection Procedure for UTU Dehradun M.Tech/M.Pharm
Programs:
The admission to M.Tech /M.Pharma programme shall
be based on the merit of valid score secured by the GATE/GPAT candidate must
have valid minimum GATE/GPAT score
For seats available after counselling of valid
GATE/GPAT score holders the admission will be based on the merit of Entrance
Examination conducted by UTU
Separate merit list will be prepared for the
GATE/GPAT candidates and University Entrance Exam attempted candidates before
calling for the interview
Both the list will be published on the university
website (www.uktech.ac.in) on 29th June 2015
Counselling will be held on 05th July 2015, Venue
etc will be intimated on the university website

M.Tech/M.Pharm Programs:
i) Vertical Reservation (Category): Reservation
will be accepted as per latest Uttarakhand Govt. norms
ii) Horizontal Reservation (Sub-category available
in each category): Reservation will be accepted as per latest Uttarakhand Govt.
norms
UTU Dehradun M.Tech/M.Pharm Exam Pattern:
1) Candidate will be required to appear in two
hours duration entrance examination of the subject concerned. The question
papers will be in English only
2) There will be single paper for M.Pharm
candidate. The question paper will have 100 object type questions
3) The question paper for M.Tech candidate will consist
of two section section-I will have 30 objective type questions from general
Engineering Science and section-II will be having 70 questions from the subject
in which candidates wants to take admission according to his/her eligibility
Following 5 major branches will be there
i) Civil Engineering
ii) Computer science & Information Technology
iii) Electrical Engineering
iv) Electronics & Communication Engineering
v) Mechanical Engineering
4) The question prepared will be fully objective
type. Each question will have 04 options.
5) In case two or more candidates secure equal
marks, inter-se-merit of such candidates shall be determined as follows:
(a) Firstly, by the number of incorrect answer
given. A candidate giving lesser number of incorrect answers will be placed at
higher merit
(b) Secondly by B.Tech/B.Pharma % merit will be
decided
Paper-I: Aptitude test for M.Tech - 100 objective
type questions - 500 marks
Paper-II: Aptitude test for M.Pharm - 100 objective
type questions - 500 marks
Schedule of Exam: Date of Exam will be held on 08th
June 2015 (Sunday, Paper-I & Paper-II (Aptitude test for M.Tech/M.Pharm);
Total time period 2 hours
Centre for Exam: Uttarakhand Technical University
Entrance Exam 2015 for M.Tech/M.Pharm will be held at Dehradun
Venue will be intimated on website www.uktech.ac.in
Syllabus: The Syllabus for entrance test will be
same as of GATE/GPAT 2015
Counselling: Counselling will be done at Dehradun
or the details of counselling along with the list of candidates eligible for
counselling will be provided on website www.uktech.ac.in
Fees Details: The initial fee of Rs.10,000/- will
be deposited at counselling centre in the form of Bank draft
This fee is adjustable against total fee payable at
institution if candidate take admission at allotted institute/university
In addition to initial fee the candidate called for
counselling is to deposit a separate bank draft of Rs.1000/- as counselling
fee (The counselling fee is non-refundable)

Application in the prescribed format with
supporting documents must reach the Director Women Institute of Technology, UTU
New Campus, Suddhowala, Dehradun-248007, Uttarakhand on or before 25th May 2015 along
with a demand draft of Rs.1500/- (for General and OBC candidate) Rs.800/-
(SC/ST candidates) in favour of “Finance Controller” Uttarakhand Technical
University, Payable at Dehradun
Note:
1. Incomplete application will be rejected
2. No TA/DA will be admissible to be the candidates
called for the entrance examination/counselling
3. The decision of University for the selection of
candidates shall be final
4. Self-attested photocopies of certificate in
support of education, GATE/GPAT score and category & sub-category
certificates etc. should be sent along with the application
Documents Required: The candidates are required to
bring the following documents, in original along with one set of photocopies
with them at the time of counselling
High School Certificate; Mark sheets of qualifying
examination; GATE/GPAT score card If applicable; Category and subcategory
