All India Pre- Medical Common Entrance Test (MGM-CET) 2009 fOr MBBS

MGM University of Health Sciences, Navi Mumbai will conduct an All India Pre- Medical Common Entrance Test (MGM-CET) 2009, for admissions to the first year MBBS Course at, MGM Medical College, Navi Mumbai and MGM Medical College, Aurangabad, each having 100 seats. 85% of the total available seats are under General category, to be filled on the basis of inter se merit of the candidate at MGM-CET-2009.

MGM-CET-2009 of 3 hours duration will have one paper having 200 objective type multiple-choice questions, with 50 each from Physics & Chemistry and 100 from Biology (Botany & Zoology) based on the model syllabus available at www.mgmuhs.com. Each Correct answer will get one mark. There is no negative marking for wrong answer.

MGM CET will be held on 30th May 2009 (Saturday), from 1.30 pm to 5 pm at Ahemdabad (Code: 01), Aurangabad (02), Bhubneswar (03), Calcutta (04), Chandigarh (05), Hydrabad (06), Indore (07), Jaipur (08), Jalgoan (09), Mumbai (10), Nanded (11), Navi Mumbai (12), New Delhi (13), Noida (14), Pune (15), Thane (16), Panjim (17) and Guwahati (18). 

Applicant must be Indian National, born before 1st January 1993 and must have passed the qualifying examination (HSC/CBSE/ICSE/equivalent) with English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology as subjects, obtaining not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together. Those who have appeared for HSC/equivalent qualifying examination in February/March/April 2009 are also eligible to appear for MGM-CET-2009, provided they fulfill the eligibility conditions at the time of admission counseling. Applicant must also secure not less than 50% marks at MGM-CET-2009 and must be medically fit.

Information Brochure with application form will also be available by speed post from University office with an additional payment of Rs.500/-.

The MGM-CET-2009 examination fee is Rs.2500/- if the form is submitted on or before 5-05-2009 and Rs. 4000/- if the form is submitted between 6-5-2009 and 20-5-2009.

All payments should be made by Demand Draft in favour of 'MGM University' on any Nationalised/Scheduled Bank and payable at Mumbai. Applicant should write the Application Number & Name of applicant on the backside of D.D.

Applicants are required to exercise preference to college of admission in the application form itself.
