Rashtriya Sanskrit University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh  - 517 064 has invited applications for admission to various courses of the University (Vidyapeetha) for 2009-10. 

REGULAR PROGRAMMES: UNDER GRADUATE COURSES

1.PRAK-SASTRI (Equivalent to +2/Intermediate with Computers as Special subject)
2.SASTRI (Equivalent to B.A. with Computer Applications/Science)
3.SASTRI (Eqivalent to B.A.) Vedabhashyam
4.B.A (I Elect. Sanskrit compulsory)
5.B.Sc (Sastri) with Computer Science and Mathematics).

POST-GRADUATE COURSS

1. ACHARYA: (Equivalent to M.A in 14 Shastras) Subjects offered: Sahitya [UGC Special Assistance Programme]/Vyakarana/Jyotisha (Phalita, Sidhanta)/ Nyaya/ Mimamsa/AdvaitaVedanta/Visishtadvaita Vedanta/DvaitaVedanta/Vedabhashya/ Agama/Sankhya Yoga/ Dharmasastra/Puranetihasa. If the applications are more than 60 for Acharya in Sahitya there will be an entrance test and those who pass the entrance test will be called for interview.

2. M.A. in Sanskrit (Sabdabodha Systems and Language Technology)

3. P.G. Diploma in Yoga Therapy and Stress Management

RESEARCH PROGRAMMES.

1.M.Phil. in 10 Shastras: Sahitya/Vyakarana/Jyotisha [Phalitha & Siddhanta]/ Nyaya/Advaita Vedanta / Visistadvaita Vedanta / Dvaita Vedanta / Agama/ Manuscriptology and Paleography/ Education.

2. VIDYAVARIDHI (Eq.to Ph.D) in all Sastras/Sahitya/Education. Entrance Test will be conducted on 30-06-2008.

3. VIDYAVACHASPATI (D.Litt.) in all Sastras.

EVENING & PART-TIME PROGRAMMES

1.  P.G. Diploma in  (i) Yoga Vijnan (One Year) (ii) Natural Language Processing (Two years) (iii) Web Technology: One Year.

2. Diploma in  (i) Temple Culture (ii) Pourohitya (iii) Sanskrit & Law (iv) Management with Oriental orientation

3. Certificate Course in (i) Temple Culture (ii) Pourohitya (iii) Functional English: Six months (iv) Jyotisha

4. Career Oriented Programmes: The University offers job-oriented Add-on courses for Sastri/B.A./B.Sc. students in (i) DTP in Indian Languages (ii) Web Technology (iii) Puranetihasa (iv) Vastu Sastra and (v) E-Learning.

Prescribed application forms along with Prospectus can be obtained from the University in person on payment of Rs. 100/- through D.D and by Post on payment of Rs.150/- by way of D.D, from any Nationalised Bank, drawn in favour of the Registrar, payable at Tirupati.

Application form and Prospectus can also be downloaded from http://rsvidyapeetha.ac.in or In such cases, the downloaded filled in applications should be submitted along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 100/- drawn in favour of Registrar, R.S.University, Tirupati.  Last date for receipt of the filled in applications is 10-06-2009 for all courses.  For Kasmiri migrants, the last date for receipt of filled in applications is 20-06-2009. 

Reservation for SCs, STs, OBC's etc., will be made applicable for admission into University Courses as per the existing rules of Government of India

Scholarships will be awarded to the eligible students studying full time traditional courses only as per rules. Limited Hostel facility is available for boys and girls separately. No Hostel facility for Diploma/Certificate course students.
