GATE candidates with valid GATE score are given preference for admission. They are exempted from appearing for the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) for admission. PGCET-2009 is being conducted under the supervision of Central Post Graduate Admission Committee (CPAC) for determining merit of both Karnataka and Non-Karnataka candidates.
M.E./M.Tech./ M.Arch Brochure containing details for eligibility are available at websites www.vtu.ac.in & http://pgcet.vtu.ac.in Application form will be available at www.vtu.ac.in & http://pgcet.vtu.ac.in till 10-06-2009 .GATE candidates also have to apply by downloading the application form along with prescribed fee.
PGCET for Non-GATE candidates only, will be conducted on 5.7.2009 (Sunday) from (i) 11 am to 1 pm for VTU, UBDTCE and UVCE M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch courses and (ii) 2 pm to 4 pm for PG Department of Kuvempu University and University of Mysore M.E./ M.Tech courses, at various centers as specified in the Brochure.
Completed application forms with attested photocopies of all relevant documents and a D.D for Rs. 600/- (Rs. 300/- for Karnataka SC/ST & Cat- I, on production of documentary proof) drawn in favour of Member Secretary CPAC, payable at Belgaum should reach 'The Member Secretary CPAC & Registrar, VTU, Belgaum, Jnana Sangama, Belgaum-590018' on or before 10.6.2009.
Last date for submission of marks cards to PGCET Cell in case of final year students awaiting the results is 31.7.2009.
