CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF GUJARAT, a Central University, established by an Act of Parliament 2009 (No. 25 of 2009) came into existence on 3rd March 2009 and is fully funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India through UGC The University is presently located in Sector 30, Gandhinagar-382 030 (Gujarat). Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission in the following programmes/courses for the Academic Year 2012-13 on date &time as given below:
Eligibility for admission for various programmes:
(a) M.Phil/Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Environment and Sustainable Development, and Nano Sciences: Master's degree in any discipline of Science
(b) M.Phil/Ph.D. in all other (non-Science) programmes: Master's degree in any discipline
(c) M.Sc.: Bachelor's degree in any discipline of Science
(d) M.A. and M.Lib.I.Sc.: Bachelor's degree in any discipline
(e) M.A. (Five-Year Integrated): Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent Candidates appearing in thefinal year of qualifying examinations can also apply. Reservation of seats: Seat reservation for SC-15%; ST-7.5%; OBC-27%; Differently-abled (PH) 3%. For Kashmiri Migrant students: increase in intake capacity up to 5% - course wise (as perGovernmentrules).
For appearing in more than one Entrance Examination: Candidates can apply for more than one subject in the same application form provided they are eligible. A candidate may opt for a maximum of three subjects for entrance examinations of his/her choice. But before opting for this choice the candidate should see the schedule of examination and ensure that there is no clash in the three opted Entrance Examination Schedules (opted examinations should not fall in the same session).
Entrance Examination Fee:
(a) For appearing in one or two papers the entrance fee is as given below:
(1) General Candidate: Rs. 500/- (2) OBC (Only Non-Creamy-Layer) Candidate: Rs. 250/-(3) SC/ST Candidate: Rs. 100/- (4) Differently-abled Candidate: Exempted (5) Wards of Kashmiri migrant: Exempted.
(b) For appearing in three papers, thefee will be: (1) General Candidate: Rs. 600/- (2) OBC (Only Non Creamy-Layer) Candidate: Rs. 325/ (3) SC/ST Candidate: Rs. 150/- (4) Differently-abled Candidate: Exempted (5) Wards of Kashmiri migrant: Exempted.
Mode of Payment of Fee:
