Admission to Integrated Five Year LL.B Course

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations has invited applications for the Entrance Examination for admission to Integrated Five Year LL.B Course beginning 2012 in Government Law Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram,  Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode.

Eligibility for Admission:

Nativity: Applicant should be an Indian Citizen.

Academic Qualifications: Applicant should have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) Course recognised by the Educational Authority of the Central or State Government or should possess such academic qualifications which are considered equivalent to such 10 + 2 Course by the Bar Council of India, with a minimum of 45% marks. Candidates seeking admission under SC/ST category should have passed the qualifying examination with 40% marks.

Candidates who are appearing /have appeared for the qualifying examination this year are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination, subject to the condition that they should produce the pass certificate and mark list of the qualifying examination at the time of admission.

Age: The applicant should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2012. There is no upper age limit.

Qualifying Standards in the Entrance Examination: To qualify in the rank list for admission to Integrated Five Year LL.B Course, a General/SEBC applicant should get a minimum of 10% of total marks in the Entrance Examination and a candidate belonging to SC/ST category should get a minimum of 5% of total marks out of 600 in the Entrance Examination.

Entrance Examination: The Entrance Examination will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode on 08.07.2012 (Sunday). It will be of 3 hours duration and will consist of 200 Multiple Choice Questions. The Questions will cover General Knowledge, English and Aptitude for Legal Studies.

How and when to Apply: Candidates seeking admission to the Course can apply online on the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. The website will be opened for online registration from 05.06.2012 to 18.06.2012, 5 p.m.

Application Fee: For General and SEBC candidates, the application fee is Rs.600/- (Rupees Six Hundred Only) and for SC/ST Candidates the application fee is Rs.300/- (Rupees Three Hundred Only).The required fee can be remitted at any branch of the State Bank of Travancore using the Bank Chalan which is available in the online application print out. The Original Chalan duly signed and authenticated by the bank authorities should be attached along with the print out of the application form. Candidates outside Kerala State can remit the application fee by attaching a Demand Draft for the requisite amount drawn on a Nationalised Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.

Last date and time for receipt of print out of application: Candidates should take printout of the online application and affix a self attested passport size photograph, identical to the one which has been uploaded, in the space provided. This application along with the required documents should be forwarded to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, 5th Floor, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 001, either by registered post or by hand delivery so as to reach the office before 5 pm on 19.06.2012.

Candidates will not be allowed to include any additional information in the application form or to submit any certificate / document claiming reservation or any benefits, after the submission of the application, under any circumstances. Certificates submitted in the prescribed format available along with the print out of application alone will be accepted.

The candidates registered for the examination can download their ADMIT CARDS from the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in from 27.06.2012 onwards. The admit card thus obtained should be brought to the examination hall.

Allotment of Seats: The institution wise allotment will be made by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations in accordance with the rank obtained by the candidates in the Entrance Examination and the order of preference of institutions registered by the candidates during Centralised Allotment Process (CAP). The details of CAP will be notified in the website and in leading news papers. Individual intimation in this regard will not be sent to candidates.

The Entrance Examination and subsequent allotments will be based on the provisions laid down in the Prospectus for Admission to Integrated 5 Year LL.B Course, Kerala 2012-13, approved by the Government. The Prospectus will be available in the Official website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations www.cee-kerala.org
