ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 2012-2013

 Applications are invited for admission to the following courses offered by the Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneswar for the session 2012-13 . Candidates seeking adrnission should have passed qualifying examination recognized as equivalent by Board/ University established under an act of the Sate / Central Government and Utkal University. The Courses are affiliated to Utkal University, Bhubaneswar and recognized by the NCTE, New Delhi. The medium of instruction is English for all trie courses. Teaching of any subject shall be there only when the student strength in the concerned subject is minimum 8 in Science stream and 5 in Arts stream.
Courses And Eligibility
Candidates passed any other examination having equivalent status cannot be declared eligible to be considered as mentioned against each course.
1 Four Year Integrated B.Sc.B.Ed. (PCM & CBZ streams) Pass in +2 Science with minimum of 50% marks In the aggregate. The candidate should have either the subject combination of (a) Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics or (b) Chemistry, Physics and Bloiogy at +2 level. Candidates who have passed +2 Science Examination before 201i will not be considered for admission. Separate application forms are required for each stream.
2 Four Year Integrated B .A.B.Ed. Pass in +2 Arts/Scierice/Commerce stream with minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate. Candidates who have passed +2 Examination before 2011 will not be considered for admission.
3 Two Year B.Ed. (Secondary)
(i) Science Stream a. Phy. Sc. & Mathematics (PM) b. Phy.Sc. & Bio. Sc. (PB) 
(ii) Arts Stream Pass in +3 Degree Examination in Arts/ Science with at least 50% marks in the aggregate.
Candidates who have passed +3 Examination before 2008 will not be considered for admission. Candidates applying for B.Ed. Science stream should have studied the subjects in any one of the following combinations at the +3 Sc. Examination (a) Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or (b) Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Candidates applying for B.Ed. Arts stream should have studied at least two school subjects i.e., English, Hindi, Oriya, Bengali, History, Geography, Political Science and Economics at +3 Arts Examination out of which she/he should have studied in one subjectfor THREE YEARS.
4 One Year M.Ed. Candidates applying for M.Ed, should have B.Ed, with 50% marks in the aggregate or B.Sc.B.Ed./B.A.B.Ed. with 50% marks in the aggregate and 50%- marks in the Education component and also Post Graduate Degree in Science/Arts with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate.
5 M.Sc. (Life Science) Ed. Candidates should have passed 4 year Integrated B.Sc.B.Ed. with Chemistry, Botany, Zoology(CBZ) as in RIEs of NCERT with 55% marks in aggregate (Science and Education) or B.Sc. in (CBZ) with either Botany or Zoology must have been studied for three years with a 55% marks aggregate (CBZ) and B.Ed, with 55% marks from any recognized University. .
6 M.Phil in Education Post Graduate Degree in Education with minimum of 55% marks'in aggregate.
Mode of Selection:

a) On the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination for four integrated BA B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed., Two year B.Ed., M.Ed, and M.Sc. (Life Science) Ed. 
(b) On the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination and entrance test for M.Phil in Education. 

Admission to above courses except M.Sc. (Life Science) Ed. is limited to candidates from the States/UTs of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Sikkim, Tripura and WesfBengal. Admission to M.Sc. (Life Science) Ed. Course is open to candidates from all the States and UTs. 

DETERMINATION OF HOME STATE: The Home State of candidate seeking admission to the above courses will be determined (a) in terms of the location of the Institute from where the applicant passed the^qualifying Board/University examination (b) the current place of posting on Transfer / settle down on "Retirement on or after 30.06.2011 in the Central Govt./Autonomous Institution/Organization of the applicant's father / mother / spouse which should be supported by the certificate from the Competent Authority mentioning the date of transfer / retirement and complete posts! address in support of his / her claim should be furnished (c) Residential and nativity certificate from the aboye mentioned States & UTs. 

RELAXATION: Relaxation of 5% marks is allowed in case of SC/ST candidates. 

RESERVATION : Seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC and Physically Handicapped candidates as per mandatory rules. 

TUITION FEES: Tuition fee of Rs.2507- per month shall be charged from every candidate except SC/ST. 

SCHOLARSHIPS: Scholarships awarded as per NCERT rules. 

HOW TO APPLY: Application Form can be downloaded from the website: www.riebbs.ori.nic.in and if so desired it can also be obtained from the In-Charge, Academic Section of the Institute free of cost on request, along with self-addressed stamped envelope. Separate application form is required for each course and combination. . 

Application for admission should be sent to In-Charge, Academic Section, Regional Institute of I Education, (NCERT), Bhubaneswar - 751022 in the prescribed format of application form as stated 5 above on or before 5.30 p.m. of 29.06.2012. Each application form should be accompanied with an | apptcable fee in the form of an account payee demand draft of Rs.300/- (Rupees Three hundred) only f men-refundable) drawn on State Bank of India or its associate banks injavour of "GENERAL FUND ACCOUNT, REGIONAL INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION, BHUBANESWAR" at State Bank of India, RCE Campus branch (Code No 5302) Bhubaneswar - 751022 and documents listed in the application form, incomplete and illegible applications in any respect and applications received after due date will be summarily rejected. Candidates withdrawing from the course after admission will have no claim for any refund of the amount deposited by them.
