BBA / BAT - H / BCA / BSc Admissions 2012-2013

Applications have been invited by University of Burdwan for admission to the following courses of the Academic Year 2012-13:

 Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) (Hons.)

 Bachelor of Business Administration in Tourism & Hospitality (Hons.)

 Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) (Hons.)

 Bachelor of Science in Bio-Chemistry (BSc in Bio-Chem) (Hons.) 

 Bachelor of Science in Bio-Technology (BSc in Bio-Tech) (Hons.)

1. General Eligibility for appearing at the Entrance Examination(s):

i)  The candidate must be an Indian national.

ii) Candidates must have appeared or passed the Higher Secondary Examination of West Bengal Council / LS.C. Examination / CBSE Examination / Any other equivalent Examination each under (10+2) system of studies in 2012 (or not earlier than 2009), as the case may be, with English as one of the combination subjects.

iii) For BBA (Hons.) & BBA in Tourism and Hospitality (Hons.):

Same as (ii) above. Students of any Stream (Science, Arts, Commerce etc.) are eligible to apply.

iv) For BCA (Hons.):

Appeared / Passed HS (10+2) with any one of the following subjects:

Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Computer Application / Business Economics & Mathematics (BEM) or candidates passed in (10+2) level with Vocational Engineering & Technology with pass marks in Additional Mathematics.

v) For BSc in Bio-Chemistry (Hons.), BSc in Bio-Technology (Hons.) :

Science candidates securing minimum 45% marks in total in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Bio- Science / Mathematics are eligible to apply.

vi) Arts / Science / Commerce graduates passing the respective degree examination (not earlier than 2009) may also apply for being considered against very limited number of seat(s).

2. Application Form :

i) Prescribed Application Forms will be available till 28 June, 2012 from Rajbati Sales Counter, Burdwan University on all working days (Monday to Friday) 11 am to 2 pm and also from the colleges / institutions where the courses are taught on payment of Rs.300/ only.

ii) Forms are also available at www.buruniv.ac.in, in that case a demand draft for Rs.300/- drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Burdwan University is to be submitted along with the Application Form.

iii) The last date for submission of duly filled Application Forms is 28 June, 2012.

iv) The filled-in Application Form is to be submitted at the office of the Inspector of Colleges, Rajbati, Burdwan or at the college / institute wherefrom the forms of the said course(s) were obtained.

3. Entrance Examination : 

 Date : 1 July, 2012 (Sunday) At Convocation Hall, Golapbag Campus, The University of Burdwan, Burdwan. 

 Time : 

BBA (Hons.), BBA in Tourism and Hospitality (Hons.) : 11 am to 12.30 pm.

BCA (Hons.), BSc in Bio-Chemistry (Hons), BSc in Bio-Technology (Hons.) : 1.30 pm to 3pm
