Post Graduate Diploma Course in Hydro Power Plant Engineering Admission-2012
Course Details:
The main aim of the course is to develop the pool of technically trained manpower readily available for recruitment to the Indian Power Sector
The course is of 39 weeks duration and covers all aspects of Hydro Power Plant Engineering including O&M, Erection, Commissioning, Management, Distribution of Electricity and Tariff
The course profile covers the mandatory requirements under Indian Electricity Amendment Rules, 1981
The course authorizes the Engineer to operate and maintain Hydro Power Plants
Eligibility:
Degree in Mech/Electrical or equivalent from a recognized Engineering College/University with minimum of 60% marks
Those who have appeared for final year examination can also apply with bonafide certificate from College/University however admission will be confirmed only if marks obtained are minimum of 60%
Selection Criteria:
Merit basis (percentage of marks of qualifying engineering degree)
Age limit:
Maximum 27 years as on 23rd July, 2012
No age limit for sponsored candidates
No of Seats: 40 (forty)
Reservation:
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH is applicable as per Govt norms
Placement:
NPTI maintains close linkages with the Hydro Power utilities for the placement
The students of earlier batches have been placed in reputed companies like JP Associates, MPCL, DSC, DANS, CE Services, Angelique International, HPP Energy, ADHPL etc
Placement assistance will be provided to the students
Application Procedure
Prescribed application format can be downloaded from website www.nptinangal.in, and www.npti.in to be filled by the relevant details or application on plain paper along with the demand draft of Rs 1000/- (non refundable) in favour of HPTC, NPTI Nangal payable at Naya Nangal (SBI, branch code-00689), Punjab, should reach to the Director, National Power Training Institute HPTC, Nangal, Distt Ropar-140124, Punjab with two passport size photographs with a self addressed envelope (size 5”x10”), latest by 20th July, 2012 up to 05.00 p.m.
Envelop containing the application form and other documents should be marked Application for PGDC (Hydro) 2012-13
Fees:
For Non-sponsored candidates Rs 1,40,000/- (in two equal installments)
For candidates sponsored from SEBs/PSUs/Private utilities Rs 1,60,000/- lump sum at the time of admission
There is no fee concession for any category of candidates
Service Tax @12.36% will be charged on the course fee mentioned above, hostel fee and other fees/charges as applicable
Lodging/Boarding: Hostel facility is provided on first come first serve basis, subject to availability on nominal charges
The cost of transportation, boarding/lodging is to be borne by the students during the course and out station visits
The course covers the mandatory requirements of Indian Electricity (Amendment) Rules 1981

Final merit list will be displayed at Institute and website www.nptinangal.in on 06th August, 2012
Counseling for General/PH/sponsored candidates: 22nd-23rd August, 2012
Counseling for SC/ST/OBC candidates: 24th August, 2012
Commencement of course: 03rd September, 2012

spcially i surprise by that thing you include here eligibility,selection crieteria,age limit,no of seats,reservation..all theswe information help me to decide what to do or what doesn't.This admission circular i can decide how much effort i need to give for admission.
