Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai will conduct Admission Test on All India Basis, on Sunday, the 22nd July 2012 for the following DM Superspeciality programmes :
TMC - DM Superspeciality Common Entrance Test – 2012
COURSES
Subjects – Superspeciality Courses
1. DM Critical Care Medicine
2. DM Pediatric Oncology
3. DM Medical Gastroenterology
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY
For DM Critical Care Medicine, possess a MCI recognized postgraduate degree (MD or equivalent) in Anaesthesia, internal medicine or Respiratory /Pulmonary Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
For DM Pediatric Oncology, possess a MCI recognized postgraduate degree (MD or equivalent) Pediatric.
For DM Medical Gastroenterology, possess a MCI recognized postgraduate degree (MD or equivalent) in Medicine.
Passed the qualifying examination (MD or equivalent) in no more than two attempts.
Those who are currently doing any DM/MCh/DNB (Super Specialty) anywhere in India are not eligible.
Candidates who have appeared for MD/DNB exam this year may also apply. They will be provisionally admitted for the CET. If selected for interview, candidate should have final result of MD/MS/DNB at the date of Interview (VIVA).
Age limit: Not more than 40 years on the day of CET.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS
All interested candidates having the eligibility criteria should open the application form online and fill it correctly and completely. All the entries in the form should be filled without any mistakes. Thereafter, the completed application should be saved and then printed. Candidates are advised to print the completed application form on one side of the paper only.
The application must be accompanied with attested copies of all the documents listed on the checklist.
The form which has been completed online must be printed, signed and mailed to the office of the Director - Academics, TMC on or before 10thJuly, 2012 up to 05.00 p.m. at office of the Director (Academics), Tata Memorial Centre at 13th Flr, Homi Bhabha Block Building, Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel, Mumbai – 400 012 with copies of all certificates and documents attached. The envelope containing the application should be superscripted “APPLICATION FOR DM Superspeciality Course 2012”.
Applications sent by Fax, E-Mail, Photocopies in OLD FORMAT or any other form will not be entertained.
Duly completed application must be accompanied with a DD drawn on a Nationalized Bank and payable at Mumbai in favor of “Tata Memorial Centre, Parel, Mumbai” of Rs. 5000/- (Rupees five thousand only). Demand Draft submitted with this form includes examination fees and is not refundable in any case.
Incomplete applications will be rejected and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Applications received after the last date will be rejected, and no grounds for delay including postal delay will be entertained.
All passport size photographs must be self attested, identical, snapped with front profile, showing full head, face, shoulder and with both ears and taken without wearing any Cap/Hat/Sun glasses. Polaroid photos are not accepted. Photograph must have been taken within last six months.
Only those with original admit card will be allowed inside the CET examination hall.
SELECTION:
The candidates will be selected for admission strictly based on the marks obtained in the MCQ and Viva.
In case of equal marks in the MCQ test, all the candidates with qualifying marks shall be shortlisted for the Viva
Final merit list will be declared & displayed on the TMH website. http://tmc.gov.in & on the notice boards near the Director Office.
The candidates will be selected for admission strictly based on the marks obtained in the MCQ and Viva. In case of equal marks in the test the ranking of the candidates shall be determined in the following order :-
a. In case of candidates having equal marks in the test, the merit shall be decided on the basis of number of failures at the MD/MS examination. One mark will be deducted out of the marks obtained by the candidates in the written test for each failure.
b. In case of candidates having equal marks vice (a) above, the merit shall be decided on the basis of percentage of aggregate or marks obtained by the candidates in III-MBBS (Final Examination)
c. In case of candidates having equal percentage of aggregate marks at the MBBS (Final) Examination vice (b) above, the merit shall be decided on the basis of Percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in Pediatrics (for selection to DM course) and Surgery (for selection to M.Ch. course) in the MBBS examination.
d. If the marks at the above vice (c) happen to be the same the date of birth would be the basis i.e. the candidate senior in the age would rank higher.
GENERAL :
The selected candidates will have to join the DM/MCh course by paying the fees before 31st July 2012.
The DM/M.Ch. course is a full time residential course. Students will be provided sharing accommodation and stipend as per the institutions norms.
The admission and continuance of Registration / Residency of the candidate shall be subject to the HBNI Act, Statutes, Ordinance, Rules and Regulations and orders as may be applicable from time to time.
The decisions of the Postgraduate Studies Board, Tata Memorial Centre, and Board of Health Sciences, HBNI in all the matters of admission / registration shall be final and binding on the candidate.
The candidate are required to submit Service Bond for Rs. 50,00,000/- (Rupees Fifty Lacs) as per government order to work for one Year at Tata Memorial Centre after passing DM.
Discontinuation of residency or registration in between the DM Superspeciality course for 3 years, will result in a penalty for Rs.10, 00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lacs) without which release will not be granted.
Mere submission of application and appearing and qualifying in the examination or test will not entitle the candidates to claim the admission in any of the above course. The candidates must note that if is found that he / she is not eligible, the Director - Academics Office will not issue the Admit Card and will not take any responsibility in this regard.
No TA / DA will be admissible for attending the written test and joining the course.
Candidate will have to produce original documents including documentary proof that their medical degrees are recognized by MCI.
The decision of the Director - Academics, Tata Memorial Centre shall be final and binding on the candidates in respect of the admission tests.
