Admission to IDE Courses :
Students desirous of seeking admission shall apply through ONLINE only. On-line registration facility for admission is provided vide www.ideku.net.

Prospectus can be had from the office of the Institute of Distance Education and from Kerala University Form Sales Counter at Palayam on payment of Rs. 250/- by DD / University chalan receipt. The Counterfoil of the PIS is to be submitted for online registration. Cost of Prospectus is Rs. 250

Fees shall be remitted by Demand Draft, drawn from any SBT / District Co-Operative Banks in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Students residing outside the state of Kerala can draw their DDs from SBI in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Overseas students can draw their DDs from any nationalized banks in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram payable at Thiruvananthapuram. For every remittance by DD a service charge of Rs 10/- also has to be remitted.

Fee can also be remitted by pay-in-slip at the Cash Counters at University Office, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram and at the University Campus, Kariavattom. Fees can also be remitted at Friends, Jenasevana Kendram Centres.

Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) under the Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS) has invited applications from eligible candidates for DR. K.S.KRISHNAN RESEARCH ASSOCIATESHIP (KSKRA).

Research Associates selected under the KSKRA programme are given an opportunity to work on R&D programmes of national importance relevant to the DAE mandate in one of the following advanced research centres of the Department :
1. Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai.
2. Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam.
3. Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indore.
4. Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC), Kolkata.
5. Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB), Mumbai.

Selected candidates will be paid a stipend of Rs.26,000/- + benefits for a maximum period of 2 years. Anytime during the 2nd year of associateship, subject to satisfactory performance, the KSKRAs will be absorbed in one of the above given R&D units of DAE and appointed in the grade of Scientific Officer/  Engineer-D / E. The associateships are available in the following broad disciplines:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
A) Minimum Educational Qualification and Experience:
i) For Engineers: PhD degree in Engineering (Those who have submitted thesis for Ph.D. may also apply) or Master's degree in Engineering (M.Tech. / M.E. / M.S.) with a minimum of 2-year R&D experience after obtaining M.Tech./M.E./M.S. degree.
ii) For Scientists: Ph.D. degree in Science (Those who have submitted Ph.D. thesis may also apply).

All candidates must have a First Class at either Masters or Bachelors level. and must provide a list of publications in support of their R&D experience.

B) Nationality / Age: Indian nationals who are not more than 32 years as on 1st January in the year of the application. The age criterion is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates. The SC/ ST/ OBC certificate should be as per the prescribed format. Physically challenge persons are eligible for age relaxation of 5 years.

HOW TO APPLY :
a) The application should be preferably typewritten on a plain paper as per the pro-forma given in the link: http://www.barc.gov.in/webpages/brns/application24.doc for only one of the subjects listed above. Multiple applications received would be rejected.
b)  Attach only photocopies of the following documents/ certificates duly attested by a Gazetted Officer/ Head of the Institute (Do not enclose original certificates).
i)  All degree certificates and mark sheets starting with the eligibility qualification (for example Ph.D,MTech & BTech or PhD,MSc,BSc) certificate.
ii) GATE Score, GATE Subject and GATE Year or NET Qualification (optional).
iii) Proof of date of birth e.g. CBSE/ HSC/ SSC/ Matriculation certificate.

c)  Affix one passport size photograph on the top right corner of the application and enclose one spare photograph inside the envelope as indicated. Append signatures across both the photographs.
d) Postal Order/Demand Draft of Rs.100/- as application fee drawn in favour of Accounts Officer, BARC payable at Mumbai. SC/ST, Persons with Disabilities, Women candidates and Dependents of Defence Personnel Killed In Action (DODPKIA) are exempted from application fee.
e) Persons working under the Central/ State Government/ Public Sector Undertakings should submit their application through proper channel.
f) Enclose 3 envelopes (size 5”x7”) with complete addresses including PIN code: One envelope for self with Phone Number and one each for the two referees along with the Phone Numbers who are familiar with candidates' work. For a letter to be sent to Hindi-belt in India, the address on the envelope should be written in Hindi.
g) On the left hand corner of envelope, clearly mark candidates' Subject Code Number and inscribe KSKRA with application due date.

Experience : Candidates with a minimum of 2 years professional experience shall be given priority. The Demand draft should be drawn in favour of the Principal of the concerned Polytechnic College for Rs. 100 or Rs. 50 as the case may be, for each form.

Application for Government Departmental Quota will not be considered under General Quota and vice versa. Eligibility for Admission to the Programme of Study (PhD):
A candidate shall be eligible to apply for admission to the PhD programme, if he/she:
(i) has MPhil degree from recognized university; or

3. MASTER OF ARTS IN ECONOMICS
Students who have completed undergraduate education from a recognized Indian or foreign university (foreign recognition to be as per AIU list) with BA (Hons.) / BSc (Hons) Economics and secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. In the case of Universities where the BA / BSc (Hons) Economics degree includes courses other than Economics, the course shall be treated as an Honours course only if it contains at least 55% marks of the total marks in respect of papers in economics. 55% or more marks in Graduate/Post Graduate degree in any other subject from any recognized Indian University and who have qualified in the entrance test conducted by the University.

4. MASTER OF ARTS IN EDUCATION 
A candidate seeking admission to the MA (Education) course should have at least 50% marks in the Bachelor’s degree Examination (a three year course after the 10+2 examination) from any recognized Indian University and who have qualified in the entrance test conducted by the University.

5. MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Cost : Rs.300/- (Rs.150/- for SC/ST candidates on production of attested Xerox copy of the community certificate).

Application and Prospectus by post : Send a written request specifying the name of the programme together with a Demand Draft for Rs.350/- (Rs.300/- towards cost of application and Rs.50/- towards postage) drawn in favour of the Registrar, University of Madras, Chennai-5 for all the programmes.

Application can also be downloaded from www.unom.ac.in. However, the cost of application Rs.300/- by means of Demand Draft should be enclosed.
