ADMISSIONS

Under Graduate Programmes
Admission to all three years undergraduate degree programmes of Banasthali University is based on merit of Senior Secondary Certificate examination (for the purpose of preparation of merit the marks from various Boards are normalized) except for admission to BCA, BBA and B.Ed. where Aptitude tests are conducted.

Duration : B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Sc. (Home Sc.)/ BCA/ BBA -3 Years (six semester), B.Ed.-1 Year

Minimum Eligibility

B.A. : Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of Banasthali or an examination recognized by Banasthali University as equivalent thereto with Arts/Science /Home-science.

B.Sc. (Mathematics Group) : 60% aggregate in Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of Banasthali or an examination recognised by Banasthali University/ as equivalent thereto with Mathematics

B.Sc. (Life Sciences) : 55% aggregate in Senior School Certificate Examination of Banasthali or an examination recognized by Banasthali University as equivalent there to with science Biology.

B.Sc. (Home Sc.) : Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of Banasthali or an examination recognized by Banasthali University as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 50% marks.

BCA : 60% aggregate in Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of Banasthali or an examination recognized by Banasthali University as equivalent thereto.

BBA : Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of Banasthali or an examination recognized by Banasthali University as equivalent thereto.

NOTE : For SC/ST candidates the minimum aggregate percentage required is 40% in all the courses above.

B.Tech. (CSE/EC/IT/BT/CE) : 60% aggregate in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM)
B.Pharm. : 60% aggregate in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB)

NOTE : For SC/ST candidates the minimum eligibility is 40% aggregate in 10+2 with subject as above.

B.Ed./B.Ed.(Enriched) : Female candidate with atleast 45% aggregate marks in their three years bachelor's Degree/ or Master's Degree from Banasthali or a University recognized by Banasthali University as equivalent thereto

NOTE : For SC/ST candidates the minimum aggregate percentage required is 40% .

Banasthali is a unique, fully residential women's university which offers an integrated system extending from the primary to the Ph.D. level.

 

The origin of Banasthali is unique in more ways than one. Banasthali owes its existence neither to the zeal of an educationist, nor to that of a social reformer. It is also not the creation of a Philanthropist's purse. It has arisen like the fabled phoenix from the ashes of a blossoming flower Shanta Bai that had withered before its bloom. It is a spontaneous filling up of the vacuum caused by Shantabai's death.It was on October 6, 1935 that Smt. Ratan Shastri and Pandit Hiralal Shastri founded Banasthali to fill up the vacuum caused by the sudden death of their highly talented and promising daughter Shantabai. They had high expectations that she would work for women's cause when she would grow up. Love, eternal love has been the fountainhead of all the thinking and action and this spirit has been the motivating force.
