An autonomous institution of the Government of Kerala mandated with the promotion of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), is organizing the training programme on "Information Delivery Systems for Academic and Research Institutions (IDSARI)" jointly with CDS, Thiruvandnthapuram. the program scheduled for 11-13 July 2012 at Technopark, is directed at academic programme managers, teachers, librarians, and students. the programme covers the theory and practice of the use of modern, FOSS-based information storage, delivery and management systems such as Moodle and Dspace.

International Centre for Free and Open Source Software (ICFOSS), Technopark, and 
Centre for Development Studies (CDS), Ulloor, Thiruvananthapuram

This 3-day programme, directed at the staff of Educational and Research institutions in general, and Programme Officers/Course Co-ordinators, Teachers, Librarians and students in particular, will equip the participants with knowldege of modern information storage, delivery and management systems such as Moodle and DSpace. Besides theory sessions on the basics of relevant FOSS-based server platforms and software, the programme will also have hands-on sessions where participants can directly install and manage these software. Participants will receive completion certificates as well as selected software at the successful completion of the programme.
Programme Fee:
Rs. 5,000 without accommodation but inclusive of lunch & tea
Rs. 7,000 with accommodation, food and local transportation
