Medical Admissions 2012-2013

Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University), Atrey Layout, Pratap Nagar, Nagpur, Maharashtra-440 022, has invited applications for admission to the Medical Courses at the constituent colleges of the University, for the year 2012-13.

The courses offered include MBBS at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, BDS at Sharad Pawar Dental College, BSc Nursing at Smt. Radhikabai Meghe Memorial College of Nursing and BAMS at Mahatma Gandhi Ayurved College Hospital & Research Centre, all at Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha.

Selection to the Programmes will be based on merit in the Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences All India Pre Medical Entrance Test (DMIMS AIPMET) to be held from 2 pm to 5 pm on 22nd May, 2012, at Akola, Amravati, Aurangabad, Bilaspur, Indore, Kolkatta, Kottayam, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi and Raipur. Applicant should complete 17 years of age on or before 31.12.2012 for admission.

For admission to MBBS / BDS / BAMS, applicant should have passed Std. XII (10+2) (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as subjects and should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) together. Students of Maharashtra state, belonging to the reserved category, need only a minimum of 40% marks in PCB Group.

For BSc Nursing, applicant should have passed Std. XII (10+2) (or equivalent) examination and scored a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English (PCBE) Group. Students of Maharashtra state, belonging to the reserved category, need only a minimum of 40% marks in PCBE Group. Candidates appearing for Std. XII examination are also eligible to apply. The cost of application form & exam fee of Rs. 1500/- is to be paid in Cash/D.D.

Application form can be downloaded from: http://www.dmimsu.edu.in and the same can be submitted at the registered office, along with a D.D. for Rs. 1500/- drawn in favour of 'Competent Authority DMIMS (DU) AIPMET-2012', payable at Nagpur. (i) Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College : Rs.4,28,000/-

(ii) Sharad Pawar Dental College : Rs. 2,10,000/-

(iii) Smt. Radhikabai Meghe Memorial College of Nursing : Rs.50,000/-

(iv) Mahatma Gandhi Ayurved College Hospital & Research Centre : Rs.120750/-
