MBA ADMISSION NOTICE 2012-2013

Applications are invited by Burdwan University for admission to the PG course of studies in Business Administration (MBA) for the academic session : 2012-14.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION : 

Graduate in Arts, Commerce, Science, and in any other branches of Social Science in the 10+2+3 mode or Graduate in Engineering, Technology, Medicine, Pharmacy and Agriculture.

SELECTION :

Selection of candidates for admission to the above programme will be made on the basis of two-phase admission test. First phase includes Management Aptitude Test, MAT September 2011, December 2011, February 2012 & May 2012 conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) / CAT / XAT / CMAT / GMAT. Second phase comprises Group Discussion & Viva-voce to be conducted by the Department (Short listed candidates on the basis of written test score will be called for GD & Viva-voce). Final selection will be made on the basis of total marks obtained in Group Discussion, Viva-voce and written test taken together.

HOW TO APPLY : 

Eligible candidates willing to apply for this programme must obtain the University application form  in person or anybody on his/her behalf from the Burdwan University sales counter at Rajbati, Burdwan till 08.06.2012 on payment of Rs. 150/- in cash and on production of relevant degree mark-sheet between 11 am and 2 pm on all University week days (except Saturdays, Sundays and other Holidays).

Request of outstation candidates for sending form by post must reach Secretary, Faculty council (Arts), The University of Burdwan, PO Rajbati, Dist. Burdwan not later than 22.05.2012. Outstation candidates must enclose attested photocopy of degree mark-sheet, a crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 150/- favouring "Finance Officer, The University of Burdwan", payable at SBI, Burdwan, and a self-addressed stamped (Rs. 5/-) envelope.
