ADMISSION NOTICE 2012-2013
Applications are invited from the candidates residing in Punjab and Union Territory of Chandigarh for admission to the following programmes for the academic session 2012-13:-
Programme:
*B.Sc.Agri. (Hons.) 6-year programme at Institute of Agriculture, Gurdaspur (20 seats)
Eligibility: Matriculation or equivalent with at least 65% marks in aggregate in compulsory subjects.
Selection Criteria: On the basis of Agriculture Aptitude Test (AAT) to be held on 14.6.2012 at PAU, Ludhiana
Last date for receipt of application: 14.5.2012 alongwith Entrance Test fees of Rs. 2145/- in shape of bank draft in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana payable at Ludhiana and Rs. 3430/- in case of form downloaded
Programme:
M.Tech. Remote Sensing & Geographic Information System (GIS)20 seats
Eligibility:
An OCPA of 6.00 or 60% marks or equivalent in the respective discipline.
Bachelor of Engg. Or Tech. in Agril.Engg./Aerospace Engg./ Information Tech./Computer Sc. Engg./Electronics & Communication /Civil Engg./Water Resources Engg./Mining Engg./Mineral Engg./ Petroleum Engg.
OR
Masters’ degree in Environmental Scs./Earth Scs./Remote Sensing/ Geoinformatics / Geography / Geology/Physics/Mathematics/ Computer Sc./Information Technology/Agricultural Scs. / Forestry
Selection Criteria:
For performance in qualifying
examination: 80 marks
Interview : 20 marks
Fee structure ( to be paid at the time of admission):
Rs. 70,705/-(non boarder)
Rs. 74,475/- (boarder)
Date of Interview: 12-July, 2012.
Venue : Dean, PGS office
Time : 9.00 a.m.

* The candidates who have already submitted their applications for admission to B.Sc. Agri.(Hons.) 6-year programme at Ludhiana but they intend to take admission at Gurdaspur need not to apply again. However, they will be required to give option at the time of counseling.
The Prospectus-cum-application forms can be obtained from the Additional Director Communication, Centre for Communication & International Linkages, PAU, Ludhiana and from the Incharge, Institute of Agriculture, Gurdaspur personally at the counter from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm on all working days on payment of Rs. 1210/- in cash. The application form can also be downloaded from University website.
Incomplete applications/applications received without entrance test fee/applications received after the prescribed date shall not be entertained.

PUBLIC NOTICE FOR POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION
Note:- Clause (e) and Note 7 at page-12 of PAU Prospectus, 2012-13 be read as under :-
“The reservation in Master’s programme for all reserved categories shall be
discipline-wise instead of college wise.”
