24. Master of Tourism Management with specialization in Aviation Management, Tour Operations and Health Tourism -  Bachelors Degree (10+2+3) with minimum 50% marks in any discipline of this University or any other University recognized by Mahatma Gandhi University.




General Instructions
Admission Brochure and Application forms can be downloaded from the Website www.mgu.ac.in.  Application forms are not available at any other source.    


Last date for receipt of filled up application forms along with the Registration fee in the Office of the Joint Registrar (Admn.II), Mahatma Gandhi University, Priyadarsini Hills P.O., Kottayam – 686 560  is  30th July 2012.  The name of the course and the School to which applied for shall be superscribed on the envelope.


Candidates should remit the REGISTRATION FEE of Rs. 400/- by way of challan at any branch of SBT (Challan form can be downloaded from the University Website) or at the University CASH COUNTER/FRIENDS JANASEVANAKENDRAM or by way of D.D. drawn in favour of the FINANCE OFFICER, MAHATMA GANDHI UNIVERSITY, PAYABLE AT SBT MAHATMA GANDHI UNIVERSITY CAMPUS BRANCH (Code No. 669), P.D. HILLS P.O., KOTTAYAM.  Full postal address of the applicant, with Pin code, is to be entered on the reverse side of the DD in block letters.  SC/ST candidates need to pay only 50% of the registration fee. 


Candidates awaiting final year results of qualifying examination can also apply, provided they produce mark list of the qualifying examination before the finalization of the rank list.


Reservation and relaxation in minimum marks based on income, caste, etc., will be allowed according to the rules of the University.



Admission to all the programmes shall be based on the basis of the Marks/Grades obtained in the Qualifying Examination and Common Entrance Examination (in the ratio of 50: 50). 


A Common Entrance Test of one hour duration will be held on 04.08.2012 at selected Centres in Kottayam and Ernakulam.  The Entrance Test shall comprise of objective type multiple choice questions for all PG Programmes in  various Schools except for the PG Programmes in the School of Letters for which both  multiple choice questions and descriptive type questions are included.


Only the Programmes and their equivalents approved by the Mahatma Gandhi University shall be reckoned as eligible qualification. 


Percentage of marks given is the minimum marks required in Part III Optional subjects, if not otherwise mentioned.  


All Post Graduate Programmes offered in the Regular Teaching Departments of the University are conducted under the Credit and Semester system.
