CEL invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to a Two-Year M.Tech. Programme in the following specializations:

Operations Management and Lean ERP
Essential Qualifications
M.Tech. Programme with specialization in Solar Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy
Applicant should hold a first class Bachelors Degree in Electrical, ECE or EEE Branch of Engineering or first class M.Sc. in Physics or Electronics from a recognized Institute / College/University.
M.Tech. in Operations Management and Lean ERP
Applicant should hold a first class Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Mechanical or Production Branch of Engineering or MCA from a recognized Institute/College/University.
Applicant should hold a first class Bachelors Degree in Electrical, ECE or EEE Branch of Engineering or first class M.Sc. in Physics or Electronics from a recognized Institute / College/University.
Desirable Qualifications
A valid GATE score with minimum 70 percentile score
Work experience of up to 2 years in an Industry manufacturing Electronics/ Electrical goods or Services Industry or an industry in the Energy, Transportation, Infrastructure or Manufacturing Sector
Age not to exceed 26 years as on 1st January, 2012
Fees : Students upon admission for M.Tech. Programme would need to pay Rs. 34,000 (approx) per semester towards tuition and laboratory fees.

Central Electronics Limited (CEL) is a Public Sector Enterprise under the Department of Scientific and industrial research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt, of India. It was established in 1974 with an objective to commercially exploit the indigenous technologies developed by national laboratories and R&D institutions in the country. It is the largest manufacturer of Silicon Photovoltaic Solar Energy Systems and a recognized leader in the manufacture of railway signaling and strategic electronic components and systems.
Opportunities
The Government of India has launched the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission to achieve 20 GigaWatt of installed solar power generation capacity by 2022. The attainment of this target would require trained manpower to manufacture, support and maintain solar energy power plants and systems in establishments, industries, households and communities. The 12th Five Year Plan proposes to focus significantly on the growth and promotion of MSME sector and building capacities for innovation, design and manufacture of value-added products and services that would boost the GDP growth of our nation. Effective Operations Management and Capacity building for executing and managing projects / initiatives would be the key (primary objectives) to securing the future and meet the aggressive targets proposed in the context of industrial growth and productivity.
