M.Pharm and PG Diploma Admissions 2011-2012
Banarus Hindu University, Varanasi has invited applications, on prescribed format, for admission to
(i) Two Year (4-Semester) MPharm (Ay.) programme to be run at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus Barkaccha and
(ii) One Year (Full Time) PG Diploma in Chromosomal, Genetic and Molecular Diagnostics (PGDCGMD) to run at Centre for Genetic Disorders, Faculty of Science on the main campus.
Eligibility Requirements / Qualifying examination:
MPharm (Ay.) programme: BPharma (Ayurveda) from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate
PG Diploma in Chromosomal, Genetic and Molecular Diagnostics (PGDCGMD): Post-graduation in any stream of Science / agriculture or graduation in medicine / technology with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Biology at +2 level essential
In the case of SC / ST candidates, for all the above courses there will be no requirement for minimum percentage of marks in the aggregate in the qualifying examination except that they must have passed the qualifying examination. Further, for OBC and PC candidates, there will be a relaxation of 5% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination in minimum eligibility requirements in comparison to general candidates.

The candidates shall submit the duly filled up application form, along with prescribed enclosures and entrance fee, to the Dean, Faculty of Ayurveda for MPharma (Ay.) and to the Coordinator, Center for Genetics Disorders, Faculty of Science for One Year (Full Time) P.G. Diploma in Chromosomal, Genetic & Molecular Diagnostics.
Entrance Fee: General: Rs.500.00 & SC / ST: Rs.200.00
The Entrance Fee shall be paid by a candidate through a crossed MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque issued by any Nationalized / Scheduled Bank, in favour of the “Controller of Examinations, Banaras Hindu University” payable at Varanasi.
Last date for submission of duly completed application form both by hand and by post: 15.06.2011
