MBBS ADMISSION NOTICE 2014-2015

Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, Dhanvantri Nagar, Puducherry-605006, has notified the admissions schedule for MBBS for 2014-15 at the Institute.

There are a total of 150 seats at JIPMER of which, 50 are under the Unreserved (UR) category. There are 28, 16 and 11 seats respectively for OBC, SC and ST. 40 seats are reserved for Puducherry residents. In this category, 23 are Unreserved (P-UR). There are 11 seats for OBC (P-OBC), 6 for SC (P-SC). NRI/OCI seats are 5 in number and will be under the Self-financing Scheme.

Applicants should be Indian Nationals. Overseas Citizens of India are also eligible to apply. Applicant must have passed/appeared for the HSC (10+2) or equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English. Applicant must have attained 17 years of age at the time of admission or should complete 17 years on or before 31.12.2014. Applicant must have been born on or before 1.1.1998.

Selection to the Programme will be based on an Entrance Examination to be held on 8.6.2014 (Sunday). The Examination will be on-line based distributed object system to be conducted in a single shift from 10 am 12.30 noon in a single shift at over 36 Centres across the country.

The Centres include the following under different zones.

North Zone: Delhi, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, Lucknow, Meerut;

South Zone: Bengaluru, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Mangalore, Mysore, Nagercoil, Namakkal, Puducherry, Salem, Tirunelveli, Thiruvannamalai, Trichy, Trivandrum, Vijayawada, Vishakapatnam;

East Zone: Asansol, Bhubaneswar, Durgapur, Guwahati, Hooghly, Howrah, Kalyani, Kolkata;

West Zone: Bhopal, Gandhi Nagar, Mumbai, Pune.

Applications can be submitted on-line from 11 am on 19.3.2014 and application fee can be paid through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card. The on-line registration will close at 16.30 hours on 2.5.2014. More details will be available in the information Brochure and websites.
