MBA ADMISSIONS 2010-2012

 

Faculty of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, UP-221005, has invited applications for admission to the 2-year Post Graduate Programme in Business Administration. There are 46 seats for specialization in Marketing/HRD/Finance - MBA and 46 seats for specialization in International Business- MIBA.

Reservation will be 15% for SC. 7.5 % for ST, 3% for PD and 27% for OBC. There are 5 paid seats for each Programme.  Foreign Nationals will have 15% Supernumerary Seats.

Applicant should have a Bachelor Degree under 10+2+3 pattern/a Degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or Law/ a Post Graduate Degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate from any University/Institution recognized by AIU/AICTE. Applicant should also fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements for appearing in CAT 2009. Those appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination can also apply provided they furnish the proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria by October 05, 2010 after completing all the requirements for obtaining the qualifying Degree before June 30, 2010. Those desirous of admission to FMS-BHU should appear for CAT 2009, conducted by IIMs. Detailed information about CAT 2009 can be had at www.catiim.in  

Candidates are also required to register at FMS, BHU through separate application form which can be obtained from Faculty of Management Studies, BHU, Varanasi in person against Crossed SBI Bank Draft (MICR) /Banker's Cheque for Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 650/- for SC/ST) till November 24, 2009. It can be obtained by Post till November 5, 2009 by sending a requisition along with a Crossed SBI Bank Draft (MICR) of Rs. 1050/- (Rs. 700/- for SC/ST) and self-addressed envelope of size 32 cm x 26 cm.

Application can also be downloaded from www.bhu.ac.in. The downloaded application form must be submitted along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 650/- for SC/ST Category). 

Bank Draft/Banker's Cheque should be drawn in favour of the Registrar, Banaras Hindu University payable at SBI, BHU Main Branch (Code 0211). Completed application form should reach 'The Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi – 221005' latest by November 25, 2009.

Selection will be made strictly on the basis of the combined Merit acquired by the applicant in CAT 2009 of IIM, Group Discussion and Interview conducted by FMS, BHU.
