Graduates in any branch of Engineering/Technology with first class (relaxable by 5% in case of SC/ST/PD applicants) and with a valid CAT score can apply. Admission is based on Group Discussion and Personal Interview with appropriate weightage to CAT score. Only short-listed candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview at NITIE, Mumbai.
Final Year Engineering/Technology candidates can also apply, provided they secure the qualifying Degree with first class before June 20, 2010. Reservation for SC/ST and PD candidates will be as per Govt. of India rules. Reservation for OBC candidates belonging to Non-Creamy Layer is being implemented in a phased manner. SC/ST candidates are granted financial assistance as per the scheme of Govt. of India subject to the satisfactory fulfilment of terms and conditions. Application is to be submitted online at www.nitie.edu. Issue of Brochure / Submission of Online Application begins on October 05, 2009.
Application can be filled ONLINE as per the instructions given at www.nitie.edu. Application Fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PD candidates) and applicable bank charges can be paid in any branch of State Bank of India, by way of challan which can be downloaded from NITIE website.
Hard copy of the filled-in On-line Application duly signed by the candidate should be sent to 'Deputy/Assistant Registrar (Academic), NITIE, Vihar Lake, P.O. NITIE, Mumbai - 400 087', along with Institute's copy of the challan and copies of the relevant certificates as mentioned in the Instructions.
Few seats are available to Industry Sponsored Candidates for PGDISEM and PGDITM Courses. Those applying under the Industry Sponsored Category should also fill-in the Sponsorship Form. CAT is not required for them.
Last Date for submission of Online Applications is December 10, 2009.
