MBA IN AGRI BUSINESS ADMISSION 2010-2012

Institute of Agribusiness Management, Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner has invited applications for admission to the Master of Business Administration (Agri Business) for 2010-12.

Indian Nationals below 30 years of age and possessing a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture or allied Disciplines such as Horticulture/Veterinary & Animal Science/Dairy Science/ Dairy Technology/Food Science/Food Technology/ Agricultural Engineering/ Agro forestry/ Home Science/Fisheries etc., from any Agricultural University or Institution recognized by ICAR with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) are eligible to apply. Final year Graduate students expecting to complete all Degree requirements before July 15, 2010 can also apply.

There are 25 seats for the Programme, of which 60% seats would be for those from state of Rajasthan and 40% for those from other States/UTs. In addition to the regular seats, 5 payment seats (including Industry/NRI sponsored) will be filled up by those meeting the eligibility requirement. Reservation of seats for various categories will be as per reservation policy of the University. Foreign students may be considered for admission on the basis of nomination from ICAR/Govt of India on supernumerary seats.

Admission will be based on the score in CAT 2009 to be conducted by IIMs. (See www.catiim.in for details of CAT). Candidates short-listed on the basis of CAT will be considered for admission as per the eligibility criterion including Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Those desirous of admission to the Programme will have to appear for CAT and also apply to the Institute separately.

The IABM Application form along with Prospectus will be available from the Director, Institute of Agribusiness Management, Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner-334006 on payment of Rs.850/- through Bank Draft payable at any Nationalised Bank in Bikaner or by paying Rs.800/- by cash at the Institute.

Application from can also be downloaded from www.iabmbikaner.org in which case the completed form has to be forwarded to the Institute along with a Demand Draft for Rs.850/-.
IABM Application and Prospectus will be available till November 16, 2009.
The last date for receipt of completed applications at IABM is 18th November 2009.

The Master of Business Administration (Agri Business) Programme aims at grooming young men and women into professional managers for core areas of agribusiness and allied sectors, providing a comprehensive coverage incorporating courses relevant to management discipline, in general, and the management of agribusiness, in particular. The course curriculum includes compulsory courses, elective courses, summer internship and project work.
