Applicant should have a Bachelor Degree in Science with Chemistry/Biochemistry as one of the subjects or Agriculture/Engineering/Technology, with a minimum of 55% marks in optional subjects (50% for SC/ST) in B.Sc. Pass course, 50% for B.Sc (Hons.) course (45% for SC/ST) and minimum second class for Agriculture/ Engineering/Technology. Applicant should also have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects in Plus 2 or Pre University or at Degree level.
Those who have appeared for final year examination and expect to get stipulated marks or class can also apply subject to the submission of Marks/Grades of all the years of qualifying Degree examination at the office of the Institute, latest by July 30, 2010.
Students who meet the eligibility criteria are required to take an entrance / aptitude test which will be held at Mysore and New Delhi on July 18, 2010. The test will have short and objective type questions from Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Biology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry & Nutrition/ Agriculture & Dairy Technology/ Engineering.There will be balanced number of questions from different topics so that students of different streams get equal opportunity to score in the test.
