M.A. (2 years) courses are offered in: Hindi (Language Technology); Computational Linguistics; Hindi (Comparative Literature); Dramatics and Film Studies; Ahimsa and Peace Studies; Women's studies; Mass media; Dalit and Tribal studies; Buddhist studies; Anthropology; MSW; Hindi (Translation technology); Master of Information and Language engineering
Eligibility for applying MA is a Graduation with 50% marks in any discipline from a recognized university/institution (For SC/ST candidates 45%). Desirable: For M.A. Hindi (Translation Technology) candidates should have knowledge of English & Hindi languages.
2. M.Phil (1 year) courses are offered in: Hindi (Language technology); Hindi (Comparative Literature); Hindi (Translation Technology); Ahimsa and Peace Studies; Women's studies; Mass media; Anthropology; Dalit and Tribal studies; Social work; Diaspora studies. Eligibility for applying M.Phil is a Masters Degree with 55% marks in concerned subject (for SC/ST 50%) or in any allied/cognate discipline.
3. Ph.D courses are offered in: Hindi (Language Technology); Hindi (comparative literature) Mass media, Diaspora studies Eligibility for applying Ph.D is a Masters Degree with 55% marks (for SC/ST candidates 50%) in the concerned subject or in any allied/cognate discipline.
4. Ph.D is also offered in (Informatics and language engineering): Masters Degree with 55% marks (for SC/ST 50%) in Computational Linguistics/Language Technology/ Translation Technology from any recognised university with knowledge of Programming Language. [OR] Masters Degree with 55% marks (for SC/ST 50%) in Linguistics/Applied Linguistics from any recognised university with Degree/Diploma in Computer Science/ Information Technology. [OR] M.Tech./MCA/M.Sc. with 55% marks (for SC/ST 50%) in Computer Science/ Information Technology or MILE from any recognised university
M.Phil/Ph.D admission will be made in accordance with UGC (minimum standards and procedure for awards of M.Phil/Ph.D degree) regulation 2009.
The prospectus along with application form can be obtained by sending a D.D. of Rs.250/- (Including postal expenses) in favour of 'Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya' payable at Wardha from Deputy Registrar (Academic), Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya, Manas Mandir Post Office, Panchteela, Wardha – 442 001 (Maharashtra) or by paying Rs.200/- in cash at at university cash counter. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST & Physically Challenged categories can obtain the form by sending a D.D. of Rs.150/- (including postal expenses) or by paying in cash Rs.100/- at university cash counter. Candidates applying for more than one course have to submit separate D.D. for each course.
The application form is also available on University Website: www.hindivishwa.org While submitting the down-loaded application form, candidates belonging to the general category have to enclose a D.D. of Rs.200/- and candidates belonging to the SC/ST & Physically Challenged categories have to enclose a D.D. of Rs.100/- only.
