Indian Maritime University (IMU), Chennai, has invited applications for admission to various courses in IMU Campuses and affiliated Colleges for 2010-11, for the August 2010 session. The Courses include B.Tech (Marine Engineering) in affiliated Institutions of IMU only, Diploma in Nautical Science leading to B.Sc Nautical Science and B.Sc in Ship Building and Repair.

Applicant must be 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board or University with an aggregate of 60% marks for B.Tech and 55% for Diploma and B.Sc, in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 50% marks in English in either 10th or 10+2. Those who have appeared for the qualifying examination and are awaiting results may also apply. More details can be had from http://www.imu.tn.nic.in/

Selection is based on the performance of the applicants in the IMU Common Entrance Test (IMU-CET) to be held from 10 am to 1 pm on 19th June, 2010 (Saturday) at Kendriya Vidyalaya Schools all over India and subsequent counseling at IMU Chennai.Detailed Brochure containing the application form can be downloaded from http://www.imu.tn.nic.in/
