(i) Three Year P.G. Diploma in Direction- Bachelor's Degree (14 seats)
(ii) Three Year P.G. Diploma Cinematography- Bachelor's Degree (14 seats)
(iii) Three Year P.G. Diploma in Sound Recording & Sound Design: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with Physics as a subject at Senior Secondary (10+2) level (14 seats)
(iv) Three Year P.G. Diploma in Editing: Bachelor's Degree (14 seats)
(v) Two Year P.G. Diploma in Acting: Bachelor's Degree (28 seats)
(vi) Two Year P. G. Diploma in Art Direction and Production Design: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture/Painting/Applied Arts/Sculpture/Interior Design or related fields in Fine Arts or equivalent Diploma (14 seats)
(vii) One and a half Year Certificate Course in Animation and Computer Graphics: Senior Secondary (10 + 2). Preference will be given to candidates having completed Diploma from Fine Arts colleges (14 seats)
(viii) One year P.G. Certificate Course in Feature Film Screenplay Writing: Bachelor's Degree (14 seats)
Courses in Television and eligibility:
(i) One Year P.G. Certificate Course in Direction- Bachelor's Degree (12 seats)
(ii) One Year P.G. Certificate Course in Electronic Cinematography- Bachelor's Degree (12 seats)
(iii) One Year P.G. Certificate Course in Video Editing- Bachelor's Degree (12 seats)
(iv) One Year P.G. Certificate Course Sound Recording and TV Engineering: Bachelor's Degree with Physics as a subject at Senior Secondary (10+2) level (12 seats)
Proportionate number of seats is reserved for SC/ST/OBC candidates and for persons with disabilities as per Govt. policy of reservations. Two seats are reserved for NRI/ foreign students in each of the courses. One seat is reserved in each of the three-year Post Graduate Diploma courses and in the Post Graduate Certificate courses in Feature Film Screenplay Writing and Animation & Computer Graphics, for foreign students on Indian Government sponsored scholarships such as those sponsored by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR)
Application can be submitted online or using the Printed application form. In the Online mode of submitting application, applicant has to take a Demand Draft for Rs.2000/- for General/OBC (Non Creamy layer) and Rs.1650/- for SC/ST category, in favour of 'Accounts Officer', FTII, Pune, drawn on any of the branches of the Indian Bank or any Nationalised Bank and payable at Pune.

The status of application can be checked online using your Username and Password created while applying online. The Prospectus containing the Application form and other details can also be obtained on request along with a Demand Draft of Rs.2000/- for General Category and Rs.1650/- for SC/ST, from any of the Nationalised Banks, drawn in favour of 'Accounts Officer, Film and Television Institute of India', payable at Pune. Requests for Prospectus will be entertained only after 1st May, 2010. Prospectus can also be obtained personally from the information and facilitation counter, Film and Television Institute of India.
Filled Application should reach 'The Controller of Examinations, Film and Television Institute of India, Law College Road, Pune-411004', latest by 15th June 2010. Those applying on the printed Application form should clearly write the name of the course applied for, on the envelope. Those applying on-line should send their declaration and DD. Applicants should write the Name, Address and category (caste) on the backside of D.D.
Selection to the Programmes will be based on an Entrance Test to be conducted on 1st August, 2010 (Sunday) at Agartala, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Banglore, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, Ranchi and Raipur.

Candidates short-listed based on the written test will be called for an interview at Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. Those short-listed for Acting Course will be called for audition and screen test at selected centers. Final selection will be made on the basis of results of this audition and screen test.
Those short-listed for Certificate Courses will be called to Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, for an interview.
