Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women under Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore has invited applications for admission to the following Undergraduate Engineering courses of Academic Year 2012-13 through an Entrance Examination to be held on 21.04.2012.
* BE Computer Science and Engineering
* BE Information Technology
* BE Electronics and Communication Engineering
* BE Electrical & Electronics Engineering
* BE Biomedical Instrumentation Engineering
* BE Food Processing & Preservation Technology
* BE Printing Technology
* BE Civil Engineering
Eligibility Criteria for BE admission:
Candidates born on or after 1st July, 1991 are eligible, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years i.e., who were born on or after 1st July, 1986 are eligible to apply for AEEE 2012. They should have studied in regular, full-time, formal stream in the school. Candidates appearing for Class Twelve examinations in March / April 2012 are also eligible to apply. A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Biology / Computer Science with atleast 50% marks in the subjects taken together (45% incase of reserved category) is necessary.
Eligibility Criteria for BE (Lateral Entry) admission :
The candidate should have passed diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution with atleast 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology.
Issue of application forms :
Application forms and prospectus will be available at the office of Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore - 641 043 on payment of Rs.600/- by cash or by post by sending a request to the Registrar along with a DD for Rs.650/- (For SC/ST students only Rs.300/- by cash or Rs.350/- by post on production of attested xerox copy of community certificate) drawn in favour of "The Registrar, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women", payable at Coimbatore, or can be downloaded from: www.avinutv.ac.in
Last date for application submission :
Duly filled application form in the candidate's own handwriting, with the attested copies of following certificates should reach the Registrar, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore - 641 043 on or before 15.04.2012.
i. Proof for the date of birth
ii. HSC or equivalent mark sheet
iii. Transfer and Conduct certificate from the Head of the Institution last studied
iv. Medical Certificate
v. Community Certificate
