Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to Post Graduate Degree Course in Pharmacy - 2012 Candidates have to apply online from 14-08-2012 to 23-08-2012, 5pm.
The Entrance Examination will be conducted on 15.09.2012 (Saturday) at Thiruvananthapuram.

1. Applications are invited for the Entrance
Examination for admission to Post Graduate Degree in Pharmacy -2012 in the following
courses/specialties:
I.M.PHARM
(a) Pharmaceutical Analysis (b) Pharmacognosy & Phyto Chemistry
(c) Pharmaceutics
(d) Pharmacology
(e) Pharmacy Practice (f) Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
II.PHARM.D [Post
Baccalaureate]
2. Eligibility for Admission
(i)
Nativity: Only Indian citizens of Kerala origin are eligible for
admission to the courses. Necessary proof in this regard should be submitted
along with the application.
(ii) Academic Eligibility: The
candidates who have passed the B.Pharm Degree of any of the Universities in
Kerala or of any other Universities recognised by the Kerala University of
Health Sciences as equivalent there to from an institution recognised by the
All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi and Pharmacy Council of
India, with a minimum of 50% marks for all the Three years of B.Pharm
Examination (II, III, IV year) taken together, will be eligible for admission.
For Lecturer in Pharmacy who seeks admission against the reserved quota, the
minimum marks will also be 50%.
Candidates who have passed their B.Pharm Course
from Universities outside Kerala will be eligible for admission only if their
qualifying examination is recognized by the Kerala University of Health
Sciences on the date of counseling by the Director of Medical Education.
3. Selection: Based on Entrance Examination (except
for seats reserved for Lecturer in Pharmacy and nominee of Drugs Control
Department/Service candidates under DME/ DHS/ESI) to be conducted by the
Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala on 15.09.2012 at Thiruvananthapuram. The Entrance Examination
shall be of the standard of B.Pharm and will consist of one paper of three
hours duration with 200 objective (multiple choice) type questions.
4. How to
apply: Prospectus and Online Application
form will be available from 14.08.2012 onwards on the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in
(See Clause XII of the Prospectus).
Application forms are common for all candidates and Application Fee is Rs.800/-(Rupees
Eight Hundred Only). Candidates seeking admission to the courses can apply in
the online application form provided on the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in of the
Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and then remit the required fee at any State
Bank of Travancore Branch using the Bank Chalan which is available with the printout
of the online application. Candidates residing outside Kerala state can remit the
application fee by way of Demand Draft drawn from any nationalized bank in
favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Application forms will
not be sold from the office of the CEE or office of the DME.
Application Fee once remitted will not be refunded
under any circumstances.
In the case
of Service candidates, application fee should be remitted in the Treasury under
the Head of Account “0210-03-105-99” and the chalan receipt should be attached
with the application form.
5. Last date
and time for receipt of printout of application forms:
The online application form will be available in the website up to 5 pm on 23.08.2012.
Candidates applying for Entrance Examination should take a printout of the
application form, affix passport size photograph duly attested by the candidate
in the space provided and forward their completed application with all the
required documents mentioned in clause XIII of
the prospectus including original Bank Chalan/DD, to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Vth
Floor, Housing Board Buildings, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala – 695
001, either by Registered Post/Speed Post/Hand Delivery so as to reach him before 5 pm on 24.08.2012.
Applicants to Service Quota seats should
complete all the procedures mentioned in clause XII of the Prospectus. However,
instead of forwarding the printout of the application form to the Commissioner
for Entrance Examinations, they are required to forward the completed
application form along with copies of all required documents and original
Chalan receipt from the treasury to The
Director of Medical Education, Medical College Campus, Thiruvananthapuram-695
011, through their Heads of Department
before the last date stipulated above.
Candidates who apply for both the Entrance Examination and Service Quota
seats need to submit the original application to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations
and a photocopy of the application form to the DME, but separate fees should be
remitted for the purpose, as applicable.
6. Issue of Admit Cards: The Admit Cards for the
candidates appearing for Entrance Examination will be available online from 10.09.2012 onwards on the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in. The candidates may take the printout of the
Admit Card which can be used for identification of the candidate in the
examination hall.
7. Belated,
incomplete, defective and wrongly addressed applications will be summarily
rejected and no correspondence will be undertaken in this regard. Candidates
will be allowed neither to include any information in the application form nor
to submit any certificates/documents claiming reservation or any other
benefits, after the submission of the application. Candidates must note that
they have to obtain the required certificates in the respective format given in
the Application form itself.
The certificates, which are not in the format
specified in the application form, will not be considered.
8. The CEE will conduct the Entrance Examination,
publish the Rank list of candidates based on merit as assessed in the Entrance
Examination and forward the same to Director of Medical Education for allotment
and admission.
9. Candidates may go through the details given in
the Prospectus for admission to the Post graduate degree courses in
Pharmacy-2012, approved by the Government of Kerala, available on the website
at www.cee-kerala.org
before filling in the application form.
