Applications are invited for 25 vacancies in Ph.D. Programme in Biotechnology,University of Calcutta (CU) for the year August 2012 from eligible Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences and Physical Sciences Post Graduate students who seek to be placed under the supervision of the following Principal Investigators (mentors) for the pursuance of their Ph.D degree.

Candidates are requested to download the application form from the University of Calcutta website or collect the same from the office of the Department of Biotechnology, CU and submit the same within August 14, 2012 in the office of the Department of Biotechnology, CU. The eligible candidates will have to appear in a written MCQ examination of 1 hour duration to be held in this department on August 18, 2012 at 11 A.M.  Successful candidates will have to appear for an interview on the same day at 4 P.M to be considered for final selection.  

Candidates who are NET/GATE (or equivalent national level entrance test), M.Tech, M.Phil qualified would not be required to appear in the admission test but shall have to appear for the interview to be considered for selection.
