M.Phil/Ph.D Admission-2012
Applications on the prescribed form are invited for admission to M.Phil and Ph.D programmes of the faculty of Oriental Learning.
M.Phil/Ph.D: Arabic, Persian, Sanskrit
Eligibility: The candidates desirous to seek admission must have secured not less than 55% marks at Masters level and shall have to qualify the entrance test
However, the JRF/NET/SET qualified candidates and college teachers with five years service are exempted from appearing in the test.
Permanent university teachers with one year substantive service, contractual university lecturers with one academic session teaching experience, college/schools teachers and state employees with two years substantive service, are eligible on part time basis but they have to qualify the entrance test
The candidate seeking admission to Ph.D programme must have qualified M.Phil with at least B grade

Besides, the following categories of the candidates shall be eligible for direct admission to Ph.D programme
Candidates having secured at least 65% of marks at PG level and at least 60% of marks in the entrance test
However, the candidates having qualified JRF or College/School teachers with fifteen years experience shall be exempted from the entrance test

Application Form: The application form can be downloaded from the website www.kashmiruniversity.net and the applicant has to deposit fee of Rs 25/- in the university chest
The form can also be had from the sale counter of university on a payment of Rs 25/-
Beside an entrance test fee of Rs 175/- is to be deposited in the university chest
Facility of online submission of forms is also available
In service candidates may enclose a copy of first appointment order with their application form
The candidates already applied not to apply again
Important Dates
The last date for receipt of application forms in the department concerned is 25th August, 2012
The entrance test shall be conduct on 10th September, 2012
