Criteria of Eligibility for Admission
Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India.
Age: Applicants should have completed 17 years of age on 31st December 2012.
Academic Requirements: Pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or an examination recognized equivalent thereto with at least Fifty percent marks in Mathematics separately and Fifty percent marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/equivalent subjects put together or equivalent grade. Rounding off of the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is not permitted.
Entrance Examination: Candidates should qualify in the Engineering Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Govt. of Kerala.

Amal Jyothi College of Engineering invites application for Master of Technology (M.Tech) programmes commencing in the session 2012.
The Programmes are offered in:

Computer Science & Engineering
Eligibility for Admission
Admissions are regulated as per the regulations of M.G. University and the Government of Kerala.
The candidates shall be Indian Nationals.
The candidate shall have completed the prescribed qualification from an institution approved by the AICTE/Deemed Universities.
The candidate shall possess a Bachelors degree in the appropriate branch of engineering with a minimum of 60% aggregate or equivalent and thereto as approved by the M.G University.
For SC/ST candidates, a pass in the Engineering Degree Course is sufficient.
Those who are appearing for qualifying examination may also apply.
Candidates who have passed AMIE Examination and satisfying the following Conditions are eligible for admission.
(i) They must have a valid GATE Score.
(ii) A minimum marks of 55% for the section B in AMIE examination.
(iii) Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the field of specialization after acquiring the qualifying degree.
Non- GATE candidates can also apply.
Candidates from universities other than M.G.University, Kottayam are directed to submit an Eligibility Certificate of M.G.University, Kottayam at the time of admission.
How to apply
Applications forms can be downloaded from the college website. Downloaded applications are to be submitted with a DD of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) drawn in favour of Principal – Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, payable at Kanjirapally. Duly filled application form along with self attested copies of necessary documents are to be submitted in person or by Registered post with A/D to the college office. Last date for receipt of application will be notified based on the anouncement of B.Tech Results by M.G. Uninveristy, Kottayam and further directions from the university.
Copies of documents to be submitted along with the applications forms:
Qualifying examination certificate / provisional certificate and mark lists
GATE score card
Community certificate issued by the competent authority for candidates claiming eligibility for reservation quota
Experience certificate (if applicable)
Sponsorship certificate (if applicable)
Procedure for Selection
a) The selection of the candidate will be based on their GATE score.
b) Any vacant seat will be filled from Non GATE candidates.
c) Merit list for the different categories will be published in the college website/notice boards.
d) Selected candidate shall take admission at the appointed time by paying the tuition fees and other fees including those to be paid to the university.
e) Transfer certificate issued from the institution last attended must be produced at the time of admission.
f) Tuition fee per semester is Rs. 50,000/-
