General
In pursuance to the decisions of the Apex court in Islamic Academic Educational and Another Vs. State of Karnataka and others dated 14.08.2003, a Common Entrance Test is to be conducted. Sri Balaji Vidhyapeeth University will be conducting entrance test for MAHATMA GANDHI MEDICAL COLLEGE & RESEARCH INSTITUTE for the purpose to admit students in B.Sc.(MLT) / M.Sc.(Microbiology) / M.Sc.(Bio-chemistry) courses.

The application is meant for registering the candidate for Common Entrance Test conducted by SRI BALAJI VIDYAPEETH UNIVERSITY for MAHATMA GANDHI MEDICAL COLLEGE & RESEARCH INSTITUTE, Puduvai-Cuddalore Main Road, Pillaiyarkuppam, Puducherry- 607 402.


Eligibility for Admission Eligibility for B.Sc.(MLT)
A pass in Higher Secondary with Biology, Physics & Chemistry 50 % Marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC/MBC candidates) and English as a subject.

Age Limit
17 years, minimum as on 31-12-2012 

Eligibility for M.Sc.( Medical Microbiology)
B.Sc. Zoology/Bio-chemistry/Chemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology/ Medical Lab Technology with 55% minimum marks (50% for SC/ST)

Eligibility for M.Sc.( Medical Bio-chemistry)
B.Sc. Bio-chemistry/Chemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Medical Lab Technology with 55% minimum marks (50% for SC/ST) 

Age Limit
No age limit is prescribed.

Entrance test will consist of objective type test questions covering+2 syllabus in Physical and Biological Sciences.

M.Sc (Medical Microbiology) & M.Sc. (Medical Bio-chemistry)
The test duration is of 2 hours and consists of 3 sections. The approximate distribution of questions is as follows: Section 1 - Zoology (100), Section 2 Botany 9100), Section 3 - chemistry (100) candidates should answer any 2 of the above 3 sections. The question paper is of multiple choice questions (MCQ0 of the object type, covering the syllabus of B.Sc level followed by major Indian Universities.

Hall Ticket:
The Hall Ticket containing the Name, Registration Number and Photograph will be sent to the candidate by post. the Hall Ticket must be produced at the time of Entrance Test. Without the hall ticket no candidate will be perimitted to write the test.

Duplicate Hall Ticket:
If the hall tikcet is not recieved by 24-07-2012 the candidate should contact MAHATHMA GANDHI MEDICAL COLLEGE AND RESEAERCH INSTITUTE Puducherry or write to Secretary Selection Committee with two passport size phtographs and proof of having applied for the test to get the duplicate hall ticket.

Rank List of Common Entrance Test:
Merit List showing the mark scored by the candidate in the Entrance TEst will be hosted in teh website. No separate intimation will be sent to the student.

Instructions and guidelines to fill the application form:
Candidate desirous of appearing for the common entrance test conducted by SRI BALAJI VIDYAPEETH UNIVERSITY should fill their application in the prescribed format and sent directly by post.

Cost of application is person or by cash Rs.400 (B.Sc (MLT), Rs.800 MSc (Medical Microbiology/ Medical Bio-chemistry)
Cost of application by post application fee for download application Rs.450 by DD (B.Sc (MLT), Rs.850 by DD MSc (Medical Microbiology/ Medical Bio-chemistry)

DD should be drawn in favor of Sri Balani Vidyapeeth University, payable at Pondicherry.

Separate application s have to be sent for M.Sc. (Medical Microbiology, Medical Bio-chemistry, if candidate wishes to be considered for both.

After processing if found eligible the hall ticket will be sent to the candidate by post.

The completed application form should reach the office before 5 pm on 23-07-2012. University will not be responsible for postal or any other delay. Incomplete/ wrongly filled application will be summarily rejected. The application received after the due date and time will also be summarily rejected and no further correspondence in the matter will be entertained.
